Explore the Alpengard Lexicon
As with any TTRPG, Alpengard has its own specialized terms, some of which are built into the system and others of which were birthed from the system. As Alpengard was play-tested over the years, the players began to develop their own game-specific terms and idioms. Many of their innovations are recorded here, and more will be added in the future:
Party Points: Points graciously awarded to each other by players during gameplay, traditionally for excellent thinking and accomplishments—although they technically have no statistical or any other game effect, they can boost morale since the concept allows players to spontaneously recognize each other’s accomplishments: “Great job using diplomacy with that demon before it attacked us—I award you 15 party points!”
Skill Flex: during online gaming, typing an instant message to the tune of “LurkI8”, thus communicating: “I have improved training in the lurk lifeskill with a +8 modifier”—this is a “flex” of a character’s statistical muscle in front of the other players.
Pneuma Dump: deliberately expending a large amount of pneuma points in order to test out the effectiveness of powers and options, or to attempt to swiftly eliminate a particularly onerous opponent from the battlefield, regardless of the ensuing consequences.

Clarifications and Corrections Are Inevitable!
The Alpengard author is a self-confessed perfectionist. Although he and his trusty editors and play-testers did their best to ensure the system was as solid as possible before publication, errors will eventually come to light—or ways to manipulate and “break” the statistics. Undoubtedly, changes will need to be made.
Notable flaws and corresponding corrections will be posted here. Of course, you are welcome to implement your own “house rules” for your games, including your own adjustments and solutions. This is your game—have fun with it!
